Ultimately, I applaud Avril for standing up for her own artistic direction. She's on her 4th album, she's already sold a bunch of albums, and she has every right to want to go her own direction by now. The label probably would have wanted her to go down the electro-pop road to fit in with everyone else, but at the end of the day as long as Avril's happy, I'm happy for her.
She's on her 4th record, and has brought in millions of dollars. I applaud her for doing what the lessor girls don't, and actually making an album that's not mainstream centred but still coperates with the lable.
I wonder if she actually made the album she wanted.
Pretty sure she did. While I'm fairly confident that she wasn't planning on collaborating with Max Martin I don't think she actually disliked their efforts.
