They look like any other loving gay couple, but there’s actually much more to this picture than it first appears.
These two men are not in a relationship, don’t fancy one another, and the only love they have is platonic. They are in fact both straight men.
Their names are Jan Versteegh and Tim Hofman and they’re presenters in Holland. But they want to challenge how we view sexuality and masculinity and want to start a discussion about what homosexuality is.
Tim said: ‘I think we have done this for more open discussion of [homosexuality] than we necessarily want to be in a sheet with our bare ass. That’s nice, but secondary.’
Jan added: ‘I hope we can show people that it’s just two men on a picture.’
The Dutch are notoriously more progressive about sex and homosexuality, having legalized same-sex sexual activity in 1811.
I'm not going to be like most in this thread. Allies are a good thing. Let's not question their motives especially when they're from an open minded country.
Not all straight men are homophobes. In fact a lot of men desire the company of another man. It's not always about sex
