Katy Perry refuses to pay for the SuperBowl
Could she be more clear?
This new rule is ridiculous. Soon, companies or even awards shows will ask the artists to pay to perform for them. Katy stood for herself and the music industry as a whole. Saint tbh

Good. She can perform on the 50th anniversary in 2016 instead.

Ew at her trying to be shady and act superior... "I'm not the kind of girl who would pay to play the Superbowl..."
Well good, thanks for being kind to us.

Good for her, She, Rihanna nor Coldplay should have to pay to play.
- The NFL seems greedy asking artists to do so, I could understand if they wanted the performer to donate some of their tour revenue to a charity.

In all honesty, this is probably what's best for her.

Or maybe she's on top right now and she's her own artist so she can set her own terms. Idk.

She doesn't shade any one, except for the SB itself. She represents her philosophy and beliefs, she won't PAY to play.

She didn't say she's not the type of girl that'd let her label pay!

Of course
you
would think she's acting 'superior' for not wanting to pay for promo.

I wouldn't pay either. That isn't fair to all of the other artists who got paid to play the gig.
She doesn't need it anyways
