I've seen people use the term "I don't agree with homosexuality" but what do they mean by this? last time i checked homosexuality is not an opinion or an idea it is just a fact of life that's like saying "i don't agree with the sun" or "i don't agree with Air". And i hate when they try to hide their ignorance by saying "i don't agree with homosexuality....BUT i'm not a homophobe!" which is like saying "i don't agree with being black....BUT i'm not racist!"
Homosexuality violates my religious views so I actually do not agree with it. It's a life choice that I don't partake in and would rather others not, but I can only live my own life.
I don't think of myself as a homophobe. I'm not scared of gay people and I don't hate them either. I love everyone!

People are entitled to their own opinions and you can't be mad at them for it. You have your views.
It's when people start trying to force their beliefs on other people, or when they do things in the name of their beliefs that hurt other people, that it becomes a problem.
When someone says they disagree with homosexuality, it doesn't make sense to them. Just like I'm extremely turned off by the sight of a vagina.

People nowadays misunderstand the word tolerance. It's about respect, not agreeing with something, so yes. You can disagree with homosexuality and you're not a homophobe.

This is completely valid. BUT I just hope that you don't agree with all the other sins listed in the Bible and not selectively choosing homosexuality to be against like a good percentage of people.
Some people feel that a natural occurrence violates the rules they decided for themselves.
They walked into that one, really.
I don't really understand either but if we spent our lives worrying about what other people did with themselves then that would be a pretty boring life. So all we can do is try our best to ignore the ignorance and hatred.

Just a question though: why do you CARE enough to disagree with how someone else was born and lives their life? I have never once thought about whether I "agree" with the heterosexual lifestyle. If you apparently identify as straight, why do you devote so much mind space to gay people's lives?

Are we going to discuss it being a "choice" again?
