Rita Ora - "I Will Never Let You Down"

Rita is far from one of my favorite artists and she has yet to really impress me with her music, but I see a lot of potential in her without a doubt. On the other hand, I do love Calvin so I was definitely excited to hear this, and they both delivered! "I Will Never Let You Down" is produced expertly and definitely should have been a hit in the US, I wish her good luck in the future.

Naughty Boy feat. Sam Smith - "La La La"

Idk a Naughty Boy but Sam Smith was definitely one of the breakout stars of the year, and "La La La" was probably my favorite of his songs. The production is very euphoric and the chorus will undoubtably lodge itself into your brain. I hope that Sam will continue to delve into music with more rhythm than what is on his album, although most of that stuff is pretty good as well.

Beyoncè - "XO"

When I first heard this slay I was SO sure it would be one of my favorite singles of the year, but it quickly burned out on me and I think it's because it's missing a certain something. It's ALMOST perfect, but something about the chorus is off I think. But like the songs before it on the list, it is insanely euphoric and honestly transports the listener to such a happy place, which isn't seen enough in pop music in my opinion. The music video amplifies this feeling tenfold and Bey looks absolutely GORGEOUS in it. Queen.
