Ratings: 'Ringer' Gives CW Most-Watched Tuesday in 2 Years
The series premiere of the Sarah Michelle Gellar drama "Ringer" earned the CW its most-watched Tuesday in two years, pulling in 2.74 million viewers.
"Ringer" was up 66 percent in total viewers over last season's premiere of the now cancelled "Life Unexpected," which had 1.65 million total viewers. It also built on last night's "90210" season premiere by 68 percent in total viewers. ("90210" had 1.6 million.)
Last night was the most-watched Tuesday for the network since Sept. 8, 2009.
"Ringer"s' success is critically important for CW, which is trying to build its audience beyond its core group of 18-34 year old female viewers.
For Gellar, it marks a return to the small screen format where she made her name in "Buffy The Vampire Slayer," a series that also helped put CW on the map back when it was known as The WB.
This show has had tons of promo, it should do well tonight for it's premiere. It doesn't have a strong lead in, but I say over 3.6 million viewers and 1.6 in the adult demographic.

I liked the episode but I missed the first seven minutes. What happened in the beginning?
It basically showed the end scene, but stopped where she was getting strangled by the mask guy. And then they flash backed to 9 days prior & they introduced the regular twin.
I knew the show would be great but it exceeded my expectations. SMG was flawless and I really hope the show fares well. The ending! I was just like This is the first show on the CW I've watched since ninth grade (five years ago)
