Beyonce has more longevity and is still successful that's all that matters.
But Britney's peak was from 1999-2004,2006-2008 flop longevity, right? And her sales are much bigger than Bey's (about 100 million copies of albums and 100 million copies of singles,5 guinness records...) Flop ha?
Britney single handedly changed the landscape of pop music to its current form. She's a legend and 20 flop eras extra can't change that.
Beyonce isn't even known for the music but for being a good performer/ very respected. She has no iconic hits like One More Time, Slave 4 U, Toxic etc.
Statistically speaking Britney obviously peaked higher but Beyonce has very formidable statistics of her own plus has gotten an exponential amount more praise and respect for her work than Britney.

Britney was not peaking from 2006-2008.
Beyonce really outshined her in that period. Irreplaceable, Single Ladies and the associated albums were much bigger than Britney's.
Beyonce as a solo artist was massive for a years, declined slightly worldwide, peaked again with single ladies/Sweet Dreams and declined dramatically with 4 and is obviously doing well again now.
