Want a piece of Britney? The reigning pop princess and Planet Hollywood headliner is inviting fans to join her on Wednesday, Nov. 5 for the crowning of “Britney Day.” The splashy event will be held at The LINQ Promenade, where the iconic Spears will appear at 5:30 p.m. Clark County Commission Chairman Steve Sisolak will present her with a key to Las Vegas’ iconic Strip.
The key to the iconic Strip honors Spears and the tremendous success of her breakout residency “Britney: Piece of Me,” which has consistently sold out since its debut in December. Spears has greatly impacted Las Vegas entertainment and tourism, and has kept adding dates to keep up with the demand from fans worldwide.
The very special November 5 event also puts a fun twist on Spears’ close relationship with her dedicated fans. In the spirit of “Britney Day,” she’s extending a special invitation to her fellow “Britneys”: anyone named Britney, spelled any way. Beginning at 8 a.m., the first 100 “Britneys” who check in at the High Roller Wheel House will receive a pink wristband ensuring their pair of complimentary tickets to her 9 p.m. performance that evening at Planet Hollywood’s AXIS Theater. Additionally, they will receive a commemorative keepsake and a ride that day on the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel. During Spears’ appearance later, they will also get to stand in a priority viewing area only for the “Britneys,” not for guests. “Britneys” can line up beginning at 6 a.m. outside the Wheel House Charter Group entrance at The LINQ.
After the initial 100, the rest of the “Britneys” will receive a ride on the High Roller, valid any time November 5, as well as the commemorative souvenir. All “Britneys” must show proof of their name via a valid government I.D. such as a driver’s license, birth certificate, passport, military or state issued I.D. The “Britney” must be present to pick up tickets. Guests need to be at least 6 years of age to attend her show, and those ages 15 years and younger need to be accompanied by an adult.
The High Roller welcomes the first riders beginning at 11 a.m., when check-in will start for those redeeming rides. Event attendees are advised to park at Caesars Palace, or Bally’s Las Vegas, Harrah’s or Paris, all three of which also feature monorail stops at The LINQ.
