I see it constantly on ATRL, especially as of late due to her successful comeback, people saying that Janet Jackson is not a legend. It truly baffles me. Everyone on earth knows her, she has quite a few classics that almost everybody around the world knows, her overall sales are terrific, she has had great longevity throughout her career, even being able to outlast pop stars who debuted well over a decade after she did, and at 49-years old, she is still breaking records-- to sum it all up, Janet is a legendary artist and will go down in history cemented as one.
So why is it that people try to deny that Legend J is a legend?
The only reason why all these haters seethe is because Janet hasn't attained the same level of success in non-domestic territories as she did in the US.
She is a legend. But since she is not nasty like some other Pop/R&B girls and doesn't get into all that drama then people act like she doesn't have any success. She stays classy though.
