People who say "I wouldn't date a black person", "I wouldn't date a Chinese person", etc... Would you consider them racist? Or is it just preferences?

I always considered it to be preferences. It's no different from someone saying "I wouldn't date a fat person", they're still discriminating towards the plus size group of people.

Your thoughts? Do you share the same feelings? And are there races that you wouldn't date (just preferences)?

I would prefer a guy of my same race that kinda looks like me, i dont know i would feel weird marrying a blond guy/or very white guy or a black guy or a very asian person and then looking at the pictures i guess its because im not into extreme contrasts.

obviously sometimes they are exceptions like if for some reason i feel really attracted to him or who knows

No. It's a preference. But it becomes racist when people say things like "I don't date Asians because whites are so much better".

Again... It's their preference. If someone is Filipino and they prefer not to date other Filipinos, that's their choice. It's like a fat person (sorry for using the fat person card again ), do you think they want to date other fat people? Maybe they do, but I'm sure some would like a muscular fit person.

In my opinion, it's just a preference. Just because one particular person says" I won't date you because of your size or race" does not mean everyone else will have think the same way. That is that person's loss then. There are thousands of other people who will date you.

I never say anything like that, it just depends on the person really. I've found people attractive from all races, I just think it is a stupid thing to say, personally.

I think if it's like a very hard and fast rule for them, like they would never consider it no matter what that person looked like otherwise, that wouldn't sit well with me.

If they're just speaking in terms of what they're typically drawn to (or not), then that's fine.

Well it's okay to say that you prefer one race over another...because that's your preference. But to say "I don't date black people, white people, asian people, native americans, ect." is completely racist, unless you know every single person of that race and choose not to date any one of them. Eliminating a whole race like that is completely racist

I wouldn't label the person "racist", because they are not hating on the one particular group. Example if I said I wouldn't date Mexicans, that doesn't make me racist. I still have friends that are Mexican, still treat them the same, I just wouldn't date them.

It really depends for me tbh.

Sometimes I want that spicy burrito, other times I want that noodle, another week I may be craving for some chicken, and then maybe I'll be feening for whatever white folks eat.

I'm not really sure what I think it is, though I lean towards it being racist. Eliminating a whole group of races without knowing all of them is judgmental just on their outsides. Just because someone is of one race doesn't mean they're all going to be the same on the inside.
