These storms always hit the poorest and least prepared region of my country (Dom. Rep.).

It's obviously the 3000m+ high mountains in the north create these paths.

I live in Florida, I'm scared

This might become the 8th retired I storm in the last 11 years IMO

With the current looks of things, Florida might be spared of Major Damages.

I believe we've had more than 8 retired in the past 12 years

That whole shifting to the West is scary. A similar thing happened with Katrina.

We never get them in the North East.

Assuming you mean the U.S., Irene was happening at this exact time last year, although it hadn't hit the U.S. yet.

Ugh, this played with Puerto Rico for like a week. They cancelled work & clases for two days and it never came.

This **** better not hit me.

Although we usually don't get hit by storms up here. The last one was Irene from last year and even that wasn't too bad.
