Welcome to Lukey's 'Best of 2012'.
Last year I had started my countdown, but never got around to finishing it. This year, I hope to complete it..
It's this time of the year once again, where I myself judge who I think have been the best of 2012 in music.
This year has been an interesting year. There have been a lot of shocks, surprises and a lot of good singles, albums and music videos in which have been released. My music taste has EXPANDED thanks to ATRL with myself discovering new artists in which I would not have dared listened to, and it has opened up my mind besides just listening to the usual pop girls. I can only thank ATRL.
Filling out the quirky girl quotient once belonging to Oh Land or Regina Spektor, quirky girl Fiona Apple is back. All the zany elements are there: aquatic imagery, baby bangs, and even super fast, high-saturated cuts. Underrated here on ATRL, but it deserves to be in my top 10
