It wasn't a cover. Kelly was given it in 2013 along with a few other singers in demo form. Kelly went on to record it as did Tokio. Tokio changed a few words and released it before Kelly's. I don't know why this is so hard for some people to get

It's not that unrealistic that she didn't know. It actually makes total sense. Except I guess someone at her label maybe should have known it was released by some other band before it made the album, but yeah. Unless she were a fan of hotels in Tokyo, how would she know?
