Well this is kinda surprising... All of the videos were actually in the weekly Top 20 (unlike in previous years... :-/) and on top of that they seem to have gotten rid of that "unspoken" rule of trying to have no more than two videos per artist (though it oftentimes seemed like they tried to only have one except in the cases where the artists was wildly successful that year).

ughh this list is all pop! Granted, 2010 was all about vh1 snubbing rock. Not surprising.
I can't believe Nickelback was snubbed and Taylor Swift wasn't.

I had a glimmer of hope that "If You Only Knew" would be on there. But it wasn't a mainstream hit, so i doubted it would. Plus, it was technically 2009. :P
Ughh but i'm so ticked about nickelback!!

god. i was so focused on nickelback, i totally forgot about those.
Halfway Gone made the 20/20 club. (as did Angel Taylor!)
Kris Allen hit number 1 twice and was a huge radio hit.
I never told you also hit number 1 and is a great song.

I do agree, this list is too much pop! I am questioning if this is the official top 40 video list...but we'll see.

...I posted a link from the Vh1 website that verifies this, sans-Top 5. But from other information on Vh1.com (they bill the countdown with "Can Adam Lambert's "Whataya Want From Me" beat out Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" for the top spot?") and then the top 40 songs video playlist shows the videos from Train, The Script, and "California Gurls," it's easy to deduct that this is the list.
