this is what we're talking about though. You might not say gay in an offensive way, but when you're using the word gay in place of something like stupid or lame, that is an insult, and if you didn't mean to be homophobic you would realize that and stop using it in that way.

yeah I really don't care what you mean by it... "habits" are not excusable when they offend someone. it's wrong plain and simple. if you recognize that it's wrong and can be offensive but still excuse yourself to use it because it's "habitual," you're homophobic.
