Los Angeles, June 10: Singer Jennifer Lopez says women have taken over the music world and are ruling the industry.
The 43-year-old has been part of music world from over a decade and belted out hits like "If you had my love", "Jenny from the block", "Get right" and "On the floor".
"Women have taken over the music industry - when you think of all the female artists who are out," Stylist magazine quoted Lopez as saying.
"Even going back 20 years, back to Cher, Gloria Estefan and that whole time with Mariah Carey and Celine Dion and then the next wave which was me and then Britney (Spears) and Beyonce to what's continued to now the Rihanna and Lady Gaga," she added.
She was wrong for putting her name with Bey and Brit, but it's obvious she means they were slaying the industry together around the same time. Jennifer did sell well back in the day.
She's talking about people who run the music industry, so obviously Beyonce wouldn't be included. She's much more known as a public figure now than she is for her music.
