In my opinion, especially for this era, after the success of the first three singles in America she marketed herself to America in order to extend that success. Once she got the 5 #1s and Capitol kept trying it got messy, especially with remixes/discounts and such. But I think (and hope) next era she can keep building on the TD success in the U.S. but also focus on expanding and promoting to Europe and Asia.

Europe has better taste. The end.

Yet her 4th single managed to slay some of your faves 2nd single (with the hype of new single+album coming out)

radios here (in the netherlands at least) usually stick with songs that become big hits, they don't really concentrate on 3rd, 4th and 5th singles
