POP minx Ke$ha has insisted critics who moan about her wild child lyrics are missing the point.
The notorious party girl - who put on a stunning show on the main stage on Saturday - insists there is more to her and her music than good times and crazy looks.
Speaking to The Razz in her dressing room, Ke$ha insisted her songs have a positive message for kids - to be themselves. She told us: "The one thing people have responded to is it's really positive music.
"Yes, it's masked by talking about drinking and partying like a wild woman - but underneath that it is really positive.
"People gravitate towards the party girl thing but in my expression of myself, from the way I dress to how I speak and act, I am trying to show that I want people to feel they can be themselves.
"I grew up in Nashville, which is very religious and conservative and not at all open-minded.
"I want to encourage kids to be themselves, feel free to express themselves and have their eccentricities encouraged."
Ke$ha has become a huge star all over the world thanks to hits like Tik Tok and We R Who We R. And she has taken her new on-the-road lifestyle in her stride - because even before stardom, she rarely woke up in her own bed.
She added: "Even when I had an actual house, I would never be there.
I would wake up in a bathtub in Vegas or on someone's couch - I rarely slept in my own bed.
"There is no place I feel more at home than in my bunk on my bus." Ke$ha has come up with the perfect way to keep herself on the straight and narrow."
Ke$ha really isnt... Its just the image her and her label put out. She really has song writing talent and though her voice isn't excellent there is skill and I respect Ke$ha
My problem with this is that she has one, maybe two songs that really exemplify this message. You can't hide "inspirational" behind lines like "I'm up your anus."
I think I'd respect her more if she just accepted the fact that she makes (mostly) mindless dance music (which there is NOTHING wrong with - many have been doing it for years).
