Discussion: Why is it okay for Blacks to hate White people?

Okay, so I just don't understand the double standards for White people. When whites hate black, it's racism, but when black hates white people for petty insecurities, it's not considered racism! It is considered acceptable in the black community to discriminate whites, while it's considered a crime if you don't completely love the black culture?!

I mean, there's the slavery and history of that but we're all past that! It's such an unfair world we live in. Take for example, Azealia Banks who clearly is racist towards white people yet she doesn't receive much backlash as some famous people who lost their important jobs just because of a subtle shade towards black people!

The issue is always the language.

Some people are talking about racism at the individual level. You are discriminated against because of your race. It basically ignores history and the repercussions of history's mistakes.

Everyone else is talking about institutionalized racism. The powers that be created a system in which white individuals were in charge and everyone else was subordinate. You can't just go through centuries of that and pretend that the problem is gone. The American system has always existed to protect whites. Therefore, non-whites are systemically disadvantaged by their race because of the system in place. The whole "we're past that" bit in your post is willfully naive.

You can't be oppressed by "the system" if you are white. The idea is that you can experience bigotry and prejudice but that it's not the same as racism. I disagree but whatever

It's not. They only do it on forums. In reality this is a rarity or they don't show it off publicly at least. The thing is IDC about skin colour at ALL, but people in here like to attack white people for every problem of them.
