This is, I hope, the official thread for The Dark Knight, post-release. Post your thoughts on the movie, on its success, whatever. Make sure to mark parts of your post as SPOILERS where warranted.
I'll have more to say later, but, seriously, what a ****ing film. I saw Wall-E before this, and Wall-E was gorgeous...which makes the fact that TDK is all I can think about even more incredible.
I'm not sure if I can say that TDK is "perfect", but it sure as hell was amazing.
OMG!!!!!!!...that was the best movie EVER...Heath was AWSOME as joker. Everything was great, from the acting, to the fight scenes....EVERYTHING...They put togther a great cast.
I was greatly disturbed by Heath Ledger's performance.
I fell asleep on the ride home, and woke up from a nightmare of the Joker hahaha. Lame, I know.
I don't even know what I thought of it. I did NOT like the ending. I had to pee so bad, if I knew the ending would be the way it was, I would have left to pee the last 5 minutes before the restrooms were rushed.
I enjoyed it, although I think it gave me high blood pressure. LMAO
Saw it at 12:01, 4 sold out screens in a small 8-screen theatre. Un-****ing real, the atmosphere.
And the film, Heath Ledger, EVERYTHING (and I mean that) lived up to my expectations.
The movie has made 18.4 million in midnight showings last night. It's is the highest-grossing and most attended midnight screening for any film in history. It's also expected to beat POTC record for the opening week.

Reuters says it was 18.5 million. Even better. It broke a record that belonged to Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith and its 16.9 million.
Btw, I know it's difficult, but I hope it beats Spiderman 3 record, which is 151 million.
I guess now I'm going tomorrow instead of tonight because my friends got lazy all of a sudden. I should alert them of the awesomeness that should be coming and maybe they will change their mind.
Based on "through the day" numbers and subsequent projections by Fantasy Moguls, the early PROJECTED!!!!! figure for Friday is 63 million. Which would track it to about 155-157 million for the 3-day
This is very preliminary, very estimated. But, it shows that Spidey's opening weekend record is not out of reach.
