M.I.A. and Missy Elliott the most acclaimed females!
So I'm bored and gonna do a JL/Duca/whoever else style countdown, based on critical acclaim.
I took the biggest/most popular publications, looked at their end of the year lists, and looked at metacritic to assess these girls' critical acclaim, and now me and DullEnglightenment are going to show you who the most critically acclaimed "pop girl" of the 2000's is. I managed to find enough receipts for 38 girls, and we won't be telling you who made it and who didn't, so be prepared to be shocked!
