The Whitney Houston Singles Rate - Winner Revealed!
Whitney Elizabeth Houston (1963-2012), or, to many of those who loved her: simply Nippy. The Voice. One of the true Divas. Pop and R&B Royalty. Grammy winner. A force to be reckoned with. Fashion model, singer, actress, humanitarian, legend.
She broke many charts and sales records. Her version of "I Will Always Love You" was the first single, according to SoundScan, to move more than one million units in one single week. Her Super-Bowl rendition of the "Star-Spangled Banner" remains iconic and possibly undefeated in its vocal perfection. To this date she has sold more than 170 million album worldwide. To summarize, Whitney was, is, and forever will be one Music's reigning ladies.
In this rate (my first time hosting) we will rate 40 of Whitney's 57 singles. We have included all of her 11 number ones, every top ten hit and a selection of other commercial releases taken from her six studio albums, three soundtracks, and greatest hits compilation.
I hope that many people participate, enjoy her music, and select the right song as the eventual winner.
1. Please rate every song and send your scores to me via PM (incomplete rates will not be accepted)
2. Use a full scale from 1 to 10 (decimals are accepted in the form of .25, 0.5, and 0.75 --messy scores of .14597618 will be rounded up or down).
3. As has become the norm, you may give ONE single a score of 11.
4. You may also give a rating of zero to a maximum of ONE song.
5. The deadline to submit your for votes is July 14th (more than a month from today).
6. Please DO NOT troll. If you send a messy rate full of low scores your message will be ignored.
7. Every song has a link to a youtube video. I am also including a Spotify playlist if you prefer that.
8. If you can include comments with your scores (even if it's just a couple of lines) it will be greatly appreciated. This is, naturally, not required.

How did you decide which singles to exclude?
Thanks, Supa
I discussed it with Ace. We wanted to keep it down to a neat 40, so we had to exclude a few songs. I wanted to include her duet with Cissy but Ace wasn't having it

You left out her most underrated single?
I know
Another one that I suggested. I should've fought harder for it.
