I was wondering since a lot of characters in tv shows/movies who are gay are often portrayed by straight men, does it bother you that this is an often thing? Why or why not?
This is something that I think a lot about, and I'm really back and forth on the topic. I think that the idea of straight actors playing LGBT+ characters annoys me, but in practice I never really have a problem with it.
It's annoying when our lives, experiences, struggles, etc are reduced to Oscar-bait roles for hetero actors, but I still love those films and those actors. Idk.

Hmm. I've never thought about it in that way, but this is a good point.
