So Geezy did a variation of this thread a month ago in his blog. I don't have a blog, so here's a thread!

I've decided to put an end to some stan fights once and for all. This is really a definitive list of where most of your faves rank in the pop world. Are y'all ready? Let's start with the girls.

The A-List:

The Trinity:
- Beyonce
- Britney Spears
- Lady Gaga

Forever and for always (or at least for the next few years.) Beyonce's status as a performer is un****wittable, Gaga's position as a phenomenon is un****wittable, and Britney ... well, she's Britney! For better or for worse.

The A Minus List
- Taylor Swift (if this was just considering U.S. status, Taylor would be A+. But, taking her worldwide fame into consideration, she falls here.)
- Pink (the inverse of Taylor. Huge in Europe, EPIC in Aussieland, so-so here.)
- Alicia Keys (such a confusing case. Big tour seller, usually has one BIG pop hit every album that pushes it to 5 million worldwide. Her biggest hit last era? A Jay-Z feature. But - she had her biggest UK success ever?)

The B List

B +
- Rihanna (she's always in such a tenuous position. She's huge, but never an album seller. People know her, and yet she still can't get a cover of Rolling Stone. The public sided with her everywhere [except in the ghettoes!] after the beatdown, but yet she can't sell out a headlining show in her biggest base for ****. But her "longevitiy" pushes her higher than ...)

B
- Katy Perry (the big difference between a bad bitch and a basic bitch - how does an album frontloaded with two #1 singles sell 1/6 the amount of an album with no #1 singles? Oh, right, Katy's basic.)
- Ke$ha (well, does it need to be said? A bad bitch would be able to get an album with four top ten hits to 4X platinum/3.8 million sold status. A basic bitch can't even break a milli. )

B -

- Nicki Minaj (maybe the biggest buzz out of anyone else, but her biggest solo hit reached the lofty heights of #14. Will she be able to become the new Missy?)
- Cheryl Cole (all you haters can suck it. How many of your faves had the debut album go triple platinum in the homeland? Kesha and Katy certainly haven't. She's had multiple hits in other European countries, but that's just it - she's still a singles artist there. And she hasn't been launched here, or in Asia, yet.)

The C-List
The C-List is reserved for those who have fallen off - but who can still have a hit! (It's going to take a lot of work, though ...)

C +

- Shakira (huge in all latin speaking countries, fallen off everywhere else)
- Kelly Clarkson (as sad as it is, she is only limited by her weight.)
- Christina Aguilera

C
- Ciara
- Miley Cyrus (was she just a Hilary Duff was hits, or does she have more to offer? The case is still out ...)

C-

- Leona Lewis (i suppose she can make a comeback.)
- Natasha Bedingfield (another weird one. She only ever has one big hit per album here, and she essentially turned her back on every territory to concentrate of US success. Funny how that turned out.)
- Jordin Sparks (I think she'll pull another top 40 SMASH out of her pocket.)


Out of Commision
- Fergie

The D List

For hasbeens.

For the never weres. So, they can sing, they can dance - but they're vision's faded, they need to go sit down and have some babies ...

- Keri Hilson (anyone on even the C List would have taken Knock You Down to #1 for four weeks. Some A/B listers would have had it there for months.)

Alicia Keys? I guess she wouldnt really be considered pop.

I'm from Brazil, so I can she's not THAT famous outside US, and she's never done something that impacts worldwide

Well the only data released was Staples Center, and I saw her at Madison Square Garden where she announced it was sold out, so we dont really know the other data.
But we have Europe grosses, and her Australian leg had to get another date added for a lot of demand.

And even if she didnt do that well stateside, she sold out the biggest Arenas.

I think Shakira should be higher for the same reason Pink is listed. She's huge internationally, (most recently Waka Waka) but as of late, she's not that popular in the US.

I think Taylor's to high, anyway =\
She deserves to be on B List IMO, cause she's almost unknown outside the US :-\

At least Loca has hit #1 in 3 countries, when was the last time Cici or X did it . And you're taking this very local. Ke$ha is a nobody outside the US, except for Tik Tok all her singles had pretty much flopped

Oh and Waka Waka was a SMASH outside USA. the video is like 230 mill on youtube where only Gaga and Bieber can do it nowadays

Shakira should be in the B+ list I think. Waka Waka was really popular here in my city, at least.
