Well I feel like it's time for me to start up a blog. Most people here don't know much about me. Some of you have had experiences with me (mostly not so good). I will update my blog whenever I can. This first one will be all about who I am. So here is the list of the 17 things you should know about me...
1. Firstly, my name is Ron (if any of you look at my countdown, you would already know that).

2. I am a big sports fan, especially baseball (go Yankees) and football (go Giants). I will drop all my plans on a Sunday afternoon during football season to watch the games.

3. For those who don't know, I like rock music and not much else (as some people with mainstream countdowns already know when I rated them).

4. I'm 19 years old.

5. I'm from Brooklyn, NY and would never want to live anywhere else.

6. I'm a college student at Brooklyn College majoring in Business Management and Finance.

7. This might not have to do directly with me, but every one of my friends hate the music I listen to. They all like hip hop/rap (so you can call me a rebel )

8. I always tell things like it is. Some of you may know that when I get into stupid arguments with you. I like to pick fights with people who love pop music (ask Angelo he knows a lot about this).

9. As mentioned above, I hate pop music.It may just be my opinion, but I just can't respect it.

10. My favorite band is Paramore (see my avatar).

11. I am a fan of American Idol, yet I always complain about the music they sing.

12. My favorite TV show is Lost, followed by 24, Jericho, Prison Break, and almost every reality show (Surivivor, Amazing Race,etc...).

13. I have a great internship in the finance department of a major law firm in the city. (If your not from NYC, "the city" refers to Manhattan).

14. It's been 6 months since I've had a girlfriend .

15. I have a really big crush on a girl who I know I will never get.

16. Back to happy stuff, I was just named to the deans list in my college.

17. All in all, I simply just enjoy life and everything about it.

As a preview, my next blog will be my 10 favorite bands. You already know #1 but now you will get to know the other 9.

You like all of the TV shows I don't like. Except for American Idol.

Now that you know a little about me (if you don't look at previous blog post), now as promised I will tell you my top 10 favorite bands (you should know #1 by now). So here we go...

10. Linkin Park- As much as I dislike the song "What I've Done", I still love a lot of their previous stuff off of "Hybrod Theory" and "Meteora." My favorite song by them is "Numb."

9. Arctic Monkeys- Everyone's favorite indie rock band. Their first single off their new album "Brianstorm" is currently one of my favorite songs and is also my overall favorite by them.

8. Blink 182- Even though they are long gone now, they are still one of my favorite bands. They have probably the most catchy music of all the bands on this list. My favorite song by them is "Dammit" which was one of their first singles.

7. Chevelle- I honestly have no idea why I loved this band so much. They just have so many songs that I love. They have the 3rd most songs on my ipod. My favorite song by them is "The Red."

6. My Chemical Romance- I was one of the small group of people who knew them after their first album was released and to this day, my favorite song comes from their very first album. The song was "Vampires Will Never Hurt You."

5. System of a Down- Without a doubt, the hardest rock band on this list. I actually can't pick just one favorite song by them. I'll give you three, "Aeriels", "I-E-A-I-A-I-O", and "Toxicity" would be my favorite three.

4. Taking Back Sunday- A band that I didn't really know about in the beginning. A friend told me about them a few years back and I've loved them since. My favorite songs are "Liar", "A Decade Under The Influence", and "Cute Without The E".

3. Nine Inch Nails- Love this band. They are different from almost everyone else on countdown here. My favorites by them are "Capital G", "Survivalism", and my absolute favorite "Closer".

2. Green Day- The best live show I've ever been to in my life. Also loved their live DVD "Bullet In A Bible." My favorite songs from them are "American Idiot", "St. Jimmy", "Jesus of Suburbia", "Welcome to Paradise", "Longview", "Brain Stew", and way too many more to list.

1. Paramore- You knew this was coming. Everyone who knows me knew this already. If you didn't, my avatar should have told you. I love almost every song by this band but just to list some favorites: "Misery Business", "Emergency", "Pressure", "All We Know", "Conspiracy", "Brighter", "My Heart", "Let This Go", and a song that not even the most diehard Paramore fan has ever heard- "Breathe".

For those of you who care, here is the new single "Misery Business". This is obviously not an official video. It is just a compilation of old videos just with the new song.

It's been 22 months since I've had a girlfriend. 6 months is nothing for me. I was born in Queens, so it's good to see another New Yorker on here.

Props for having NIN at #3. ^_^

The one that The Former Mr. Aguilera doesn't like is my favorite band on the list. For shame, Ex-Mr. Aggy.

And yes, I realize NIN is there. But SOAD is one of my favorite bands ever, thus, this reply.

Maybe I do like 'em, but my friend introduced me to Chop Suey, and that's the only song by them I've heard, but like.. it wasn't my style. Maybe the rest are.

"Aerials", "X", "Spiders", "I-E-A-I-A-I-O", "Roulette", "Science" and "Psycho" are great songs. At least give "Aerials" a try, it's pretty much their biggest single to date, and well deserved. "I-E-A-I-A-I-O" is probably the catchiest out of those.

off topic but how about those Yankees.
