The Space Shuttle Challenger disaster occurred on January 28, 1986, when Space Shuttle Challenger (mission STS-51-L) broke apart 73 seconds into its flight, leading to the deaths of its seven crew members. The spacecraft disintegrated over the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of central Florida at 11:38 EST. Several crew members are known to have survived the initial breakup of the spacecraft, however the shuttle had no escape system, and the impact of the crew compartment with the ocean surface was too violent to be survivable.
Does it hold any significance in the song at all? Where does it fit in? Is it a disrespectful or insensitive of her to use of such sensitive audio in a song that at face value has nothing to do with it?
I didn't know that sis but yea I agree, that's tacky as hell. But I only use Drunk In Love, Partition, Mine, and ***Flawless so my opinion of the album remains the same.
It's Bey her art. If she wants to incorporate a famous line from a historical news event into her craft, then she can. No one is bothered but the ones with angry souls.
I don't know why it's there, but I haven't focused on XO enough to figure it out. But everything Bey did on BEYONCÉ was done for a purpose and done with meaning, so it's silly for one to get angry at something one doesn't even understand.
Y'all won't stop trying to rain on her parade. Keep attempting tho.
I honestly don't care and don't think it's that big of a deal in relation to the song which is very classy and moving. It's not like she used in front of Partition or ***Flawless.
