Tech: Nokia Lumia 920 bests other smartphones in polls

When it seems that’s not the only poll that’s pulling out similar results as we’ve managed to track down a couple of others that show the Nokia Lumia 920 is clearly ahead in the desire stakes.

The good people over at Wired help a poll and so far it seems that 59 per cent of those taking part have voted for the Nokia Lumia 920. The iPhone 5 picks up 20 per cent of the vote, while the Samsung Galaxy SIII is in third with just 11 per cent.

The Verge meantime has been having a Facebook poll, pitching the Nokia Lumia 920 against the iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy SIII and the Samsung Galaxy Note II. With over 4000 votes so far and the Nokia Lumia 920 picking up 2668 of those, we can once again see that with well over 50 per cent of the vote, Nokia seems to be on a trend!

OK, that’s just a snapshot of what’s happening out there but it shows clear signs that the Nokia Lumia 920 is truly the smartphone to have caught the imagination of those looking for the best in everything in their next device.

Though they are "just" internet polls, I think this is a good sign for a better future of Nokia in the Smartphone market. They are currently the second biggest mobile phone company in the world but is only the third smartphone company in the world with a market share of below 10 percent.

Is this the beginning of the rebirth of Nokia? I really hope so.

Wireless charging isn't really that useful. Although it is nice looking + easier to charge, they take longer to charge + you can't use the phone unless you sit by the pad and use it while it lays there (unlike where if you had a cord, it'd be easier to move around). That's why I can't see myself using one and why they're not as ubiquitous right now.

This. But i commend them for innovation. And another downside is that it doesn't come in blue/cyan

Modern QI standards now mean wireless charging isn't really that less efficient than corded charging, so I don't mind if it takes an extra 20 minutes.

The fact I don't have to fiddle with cords and will be able to charge it in cafes and airline lounges for me is a big plus..

Besides if I HAD to, I can just plug the cord in.

Wireless Charging is probably the least of my favorite features of the phone. Especially in our country, put your freaking phone in your table you wont see it when you come back

The Lumia 920 has a lot of features better than counterparts in iOS and Anroid. Maps is one. Nokia Maps is definitely superior.

Plus, I love the live tiles. Though the down side is the weight. I hope it'll not be too heavy for me

The price is still unannounced by Nokia/Microsoft. But I'm expecting this to sell at 30K+.

The iPhone 5 sells for 60K here.
