PREVIOUS COVERAGE: Cows were loose on Interstate 680 after a cattle truck crashed Thursday night.
The crash snarled traffic in the area in the southbound lanes near the West Center Road exit.
The driver of the truck told authorities 12 cows got loose. The Nebraska Department of Roads, Omaha police, the state patrol and the Nebraska Humane Society are responding. NDOR brought pens to try and corral the animals.
The truck lost control on the bend from I-680 southbound onto I-80 eastbound just before 10 p.m.
