JONES Shares Gorgeous Acoustic Performance of 'Melt': Exclusive Premiere

Sometimes less is more. British electronic soul talent JONES tests out this theory with a reskinned version of her gorgeous New Skin track “Melt.”
Billboard exclusively shares JONES’ new acoustic cut, with its arrangement that accentuates and showcases the Londoner newcomer's warm vocals.
"One of my favorite ways of playing music is in its stripped-back form, going back to my roots,” JONES tells Billboard. “I think there's something magical about this version of 'Melt.'"
Melt, co-written and produced by British duo Honne, appears on JONES’ forthcoming debut LP New Skin, due out Oct. 7 via 37 Adventures.
On it, she sings: “We started with nothing, grew into something/We've got the heat to last a lifetime/this is the right time, trust in me.” Listen to the acoustic version below.

New Skin carries credits from the likes of Lana Del Rey collaborator Justin Parker, Savages producer and The xx mixer Rodaidh McDonald, Sam Smith co-writer Tourist and AK Paul.
Billboard can also share Jones' plans to hit the road with Honne next month for what will be her first U.S. trek. "I'm so excited to join Honne on their North American tour,” Jones explains. “It will be my first time in most of these states. I'm looking forward to the adventure." The 10-date tour will kick off Aug. 2 at Denver’s Larimer Lounge.
