The fact that Usher went so hard for his relationship with Tameka cost him a lot of his fans. Then, when they decided to go separate ways, the first single he released, “Papers,” was too personal and not enough people were able to relate.

Also, after the performance at NBA All-Star game, the response from the internet was not enough to convince the label to release his album. Apparently the label also feels that his image needs some work because the old stuff isn’t working.

No in my opinion I'm liking this album's singles better than his HIS songs.

I don't think he will ever see Confessions-style success again, but I don't think he'll bomb either. He's too big for that, he's still relevant and only 31 (I was shocked when I saw that). It would be stupid for LaFace to shelve it and it's probably not true.

Usher's music is always great to me, he couldnt get a lot of attention because his music is not suitable for the radio & such this music market. It's too emotional and too meaningful.

His situation is like Alicia Keys with her latest album, The Element of Freedom. Both albums are great in both music & lyrics, but unluckily, not the type to be played on the radio >< so, they did and will go sell not that great!

Lil Freak has grown on me A LOT. I feel like the album will be a letdown, but there will be a couple amazing songs (There Goes My Baby, Lil Freak and 1 or two more).

Its suffered like 4 or 5 pushbcks already! Thats pretty steep!
