Back in Starling City, Oliver slowly reconnects with those closest to him, his devoted mother Moira (Susanna Thompson, “Cold Case,” “Kings”), beloved sister Thea (Willa Holland, “Gossip Girl,” “The O.C.”), and best friend Tommy Merlyn (Colin Donnell, “Pan Am”), but struggles with his ex-girlfriend Dinah “Laurel” Lance (Katie Cassidy, “Gossip Girl,” “Melrose Place”), who blames him for her sister’s death. Oliver has brought back many new skills from his time on the island and despite the watchful eye of his new bodyguard John Diggle (David Ramsey, “Dexter,” “Blue Bloods”), Oliver manages to secretly create the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family and fight the ills of society. As Arrow, Oliver will atone for the past sins of his family while he searches for the personal redemption he needs. Paul Blackthorne also stars. David Nutter directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Marc Guggenheim and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Marc Guggenheim (101).

The CW needs this show. Vampire Diaries won't last forever so I guess they actually put a great effort in this one.
Will be checking later.

Well, alrighty then! I'll be checking for it! Lord knows I've been jones-in' for another one of these shows since Smallville wrapped. I've been getting my soapy-superheroey kiis off of "Young Justice."

I watched the pilot. It was okay. But I can't really subscribe to this show since I'm already watching too many shows so I'll just watch this in whole when the whole season ends.

Why do I have a feeling this will only last one season?
Especially since Katie Cassidy is there. She's hot but almost everything she's in where she's a main cast flops or gets cancelled after one season like Melrose Place and Harper's Island.

It premiered pretty well for The CW. Over 4 million viewers and 1.3 in demo. I think I'll check out the pilot soon.

wooow 4M for CW? pretty good for a new show, hopefully the audience will stay for the next episode.

The pilot actually bored me. But I will continue watching because I don't like giving up on shows after one watch.

Pretty good, the pilot definitely improved as it went along. I'll watch the next few eps for sure.

The pilot was just amazing.

So many Easter Eggs for DC geeks like me (Deathstroke's mask, Speedy reference). I was really surprised by the quality of the production of the show. Far, far better than anything else on The CW, and wouldn't look out of place on one of the big four.

Looking forward to The Huntress' first appearance and figuring out who the hell Barrowman will be.

I really enjoyed it. However I did have a few issues with it...

1. It's a bit to "inspired" by Batman Begins & Revenge.
2. The acting & writing is slightly wooden/cheesy.

But I do think it has a lot of potential, hopefully it will find it's own feet in the next few episodes...like Nikita (the best show on the CW) did.

Last night's episode was AWESOME.

Loved the Nocenti reference (even though she's doing a really crappy job on the GA book and is probably one of the worst writers on DC's roster). China White was perfectly cast. I'm just in love...

Can't wait for Deadshot next week.

The show is redemption for me because Green Lantern and Green Arrow are my two favorite heroes; they have been since I started reading comics in 5th grade. After the GL movie being so horrible, it's just nice to have such a beloved character done right.

And btw - the pilot's ratings were the highest for the network in THREE YEARS. Epic.
