Best Songs
10. Lupe Fiasco – Kick, Push
Lupe is one of the best new artists out this year if not the best and this song definitely proves it. He made a record that not only had skaters hyped but also average people. With this single Lupe should have definitely gone GOLD.
9. Justin Timberlake – SexyBack
Justin had everyone, “bringin’ sexyback.” This is definitely a song that will not be forgotten in the year to come. This was a great comeback for Justin.
8. India Arie – I Am Not My Hair
India Arie is one of those artist that goes overlooked each time she releases a single but she could not be overlooked with this well thought out song. This song has a message in it that is so powerful and it is great to listen to.
7. Christina Aguilera – Hurt
In the beginning, I over looked this powerhouse ballad, but then I took the time to listen to it carefully and realized that this song was well done. Christina’s voice on this ballad is great and she deserves credit for making such an amazing record.
6. Ne-Yo – So Sick
One of the best lyricists this year, Ne-Yo took the time out to write an amazing song that just could not be ignored.
5. Mary J. Blige – Be Without You
Hot! Need I say anymore?
4. Nelly Furtado – Promiscuous
You couldn’t turn the radio on without hearing the voice of Nelly Furtado when this club hit was released. Everything was good about this song. I was especially thrilled to see Nelly take a risk.
3. Gnarls Barkely – Crazy
Everyone loves the unique style of this song. I knew from the day I heard this record that it would be well received.
2. T.I. – What You Know
Even though T.I. has released numerous singles prior to this one, this song was really his breakout single. It is very deserving in the number 2 position.
1. Beyonce – Irreplaceable
This song is amazing. Even though it was released in the third quarter it’s impact has been incredible. It has already spent 2 weeks atop the Billboard’s Hot 100 and 3 weeks atop the R&B chart. Eveyone knows the lyrics, as it is so catchy, “to the left, to the left.” Irreplaceable is definitely a classic record that will be sung by many for years to come.

7.Shakira – Hip’s Don’t Lie
SHAKIRA PROVED TO US IN THIS VIDEO THAT HIPS DON'T LIE. NOT ONLY WAS THE VIDEO ITSELF DONE GREATLY BUT SHAKIRA'S CHOREOGRAPHY WAS GREAT TOO

6.Christina Aguilera – Hurt
IN MY OPINON THIS IS XTINAS BEST VIDEO TO DATE. SHE DID A GREAT JOB IN MAKING SURE THAT THE VIDEO FITS THE SONG. I LOVE THE THEME IN THE VIDEO!

5.Jay-Z – Show Me What You Got
THIS WAS A VERY ENTERTAINING VIDEO. NOT ONLY WAS I LISTENING TO A GREAT SONG WHILE WATCHING THE VIDEO, BUT I WAS ALSO WATCHING A GREAT SHORT FILM.

4.Rihanna – Unfaithful
HNADS DOWN THIS IS RIHANNA'S BEST VIDEO. SHE COMPLETELY SURPRISED ME. WHAT A SOAP OPERA!

CIARA IS SO TALENTED AND SHE CLEARLY PROVES IT IN THIS VIDEO. SHE IS VERY DESERVING OF THIS POSITION IN MY LIST.

1. Pink – Stupid Girls
I'M NOT A BIG PINK FAN BUT THIS VIDEO IS HILARIOUS. NO ONE CAN DENY THAT THEY LOVED TO WATCH PINK MOCK ARTIST LIKE PARIS AND JESSICA SIMPSON. IT WAS VERY ENTERTAINING.

Best Artist Coming soon. You should expect to see Rihanna as I said before; her position is already mentioned and of course Beyonce!

Rihanna had a good year. She earned two top ten Billboard singles and several awards for her work. She deserves ceredit for what she does.
9. Justin Timberlake
Even though Justin Timberlake's album isn't as good as everyone thinks it is he has also had a good year. He has already scored 2 number 1 hit singles (SexyBack & My Love) and his new one is steadily climbing up the charts.
8. Lupe Fiasco
Am I the only one who thinks that Lupe Fiasco is freakin' cool. He makes real music and is under rated. Lupe deserves all the success in life. Every single he has released was great.
7. Christina Aguilera
I couldn't wait for Xtina to return and when she did she delivered. Her Back To Basics CD is great despite slow album sells.
6. Ne-Yo
Ne-Yo is the man. In fact, he is the man that saved R&B for the male R&B singers. Song after song Ne-Yo never failed to disappoint me. He is just a great artist all around.
5. Ciara
Ciara is such a humble artist and that is just enough to get her on my list. However, aside from her great personality she also made great music with songs like Get Up and Promise. Ciara will be around for alot longer than most people think.
4. Nelly Furtado
Nelly came back with Promiscuous and that's all I have to say.
3. Corinne Bailey Rae
Corinne Bailey Rae's self titled CD is excellent and she is very under rated. However, the Grammy's didn't overlook her, as she did earn several nominations for her work this year.
2. Mary J. Blige
Did you guys hear 'Be Without You'? Okay, my point exactly.
1. Beyonce
Beyonce is just the best. Her B'Day album is the highest opening first week for a female artist CD this year and she is up for 5 Grammy awards. Her CD has already sold over 2.5 million copies world wide and she is killing radio all over the world right now with her smash hit 'Irreplaceable'. Let's face it Beyonce had us all singing her lyrics this year and for that she is my best artist of the year.
