When the lights go out.. #1 Run Away with me :worship:
Hi Gwerls, 2015 went by quick af didn't it!!! Anyways I havent dont this in a while but I decided to do it this year. Im gonna reveal the first 20 of my top 40 favorite singles this year.
40. Adele- Hello
A list where Adele is not #1? I know right!! Well anyways I knew Adele would deliver and she did even though radio has been playing this non stop since it came out(you can't escape it anymore even hip hop stations are playing it) I haven't gotten tired of it and Adele sounds better than ever.
39. Classic Man- Jidenna ft. Kendrick/Roman G
Ever since I heard this for the time I knew it'd be a hit but that little beat I knew it reminded me of something else. Yes it was the good sis Fancy.. and this was like the male version of fancy. What a bop I do like the original version more than the kendrick one but both are good. Hopefully Jidenna won't be a one hit wonder.
38. Yoga- Janelle Monae and Jidena
Such an underrated bop and for a little while I thought it had a chance to be a hit while Jidenna's Classic man was slaying. Get off my areola line>>>>>>>>>>
37. Baby Blue- Action Bronson & Chance The Rapper
I'm sure 90% of Atrl never heard this hiddem jam. Such a nice little break up song and the best part is Chance's rap and the stuff he wishes will happen to his ex
36. You Know You Like It- DJ Snake & Aluna George
This summer hit was all over the radio but I was rooting for it since last year when I heard the original version. Still goes hard when I hear that little bit.
35. ANTiDOTE -Travis $cott
Don't you open up that window / Don't you let out that antidote / Poppin' pills is all we know... when you hear those opening lines @ the club(if you go out ) you know the crowd will go crazy. Rih's boytoy provided one of the hottest jams this year tbh. I do blame him for giving the ANTi idea to Rih
34. No Role Modelz- J. Cole
yas J cole! he served this bop and at first it seems like it was gonna flop but radio started catching up and its shaping to be his biggest hit this era. When he says DONT SAVE HA, DONT SAVE HA it makes me think of Atrl cuz it does sound like he's saying HA instead of her
33.Party Favors- Tinashe & Young Thug
I honestly hated this song at first because I thought it was weak af after she said "she wasn't gonna be ignored" I was like hm yeah sis this is not the tea. Then she released played and I was all over it now I think Player wasn't as strong and this is way better. Sad they didn't push it on urban and rhytmic.
32. Jumpman- Drake & Future
These two surprised us when they released WATTBA(not really since we knew it was coming) but they delivered once again. Another song that goes off @ the club.
31. Drip Drop- Empire Cast (feat. Yazz and Serayah)
The first Empire album was full of bops this one being the one that goes off the hardest and Serayah reminds of Rih on this track tbh. Such a wasted hit it could've done ok ig they would've pushed it instead of Good Enough
30. Love Me Like You- Little Mix
I'm one of the few people who hated Black Magic but this little song its just perfect pure pop I love it it reminds me high school a high school dance(ironically just like the video). They all sound great and I think I like it cuz it lowkey reminds me of a Girls Aloud song.
29. I'm gonna show you crazy- Bebe Rexha
I played this song many many times I should be tired of it but I'm not. Bebe is such an underrated singer/songwriter and this song is proof she could be a bit successful if she was majorly promoted/pushed by her label. Such a shame they wasted this song like that
28. I know what you did last summer- Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello
The infamous collabo that caused a controversy between 5H, their jealous parents and pressed stans who now hate Camila because they're pressed their fave member wasn't the one who got the chance. This is a basic pop music, nothing ground breaking but what makes it even better its their chemistry I love both of them together and it shows both have lots of potential.
27. Good For You- Selena Gomez ft A$ap Rocky
What a nice surprise this was!! While the good Selena is far from the best singer she has never failed when it comes to bops NEVER! I knew she'd release something good but I did not expect this song at all I thought she'd go with a banger and obviously her label didn't see this success either since this was supposed to be a buzz single. She made a great decision going this route.
26. Never Forget You-Zara Larsson & MNEK
I first heard of Zara here in Atrl and checked her single Lush Life which great and made mea lowkey fan. Then oen day I was checking the new releases and came across this song and LOVES IT. It's just so good and makes me feel some type of way I hope both of them make it big next year.
25. Love Myself- Hailee Steinfeld
24. Break up in a small town- Sam Hunt
Ok I'm one of those who always say I Dont like country music. It's really rare for me to like a country song and I've been seeing this guy's name on the iTunes thread and in the iTunes chart a lot. I decided to click on it on my iTunes and omg I loved it!! its not your typical country guy and then watched the video and ay dios mio!! he doesn't even dress like a country star. Really surprised by him/his style. I am a fan this song could do well on pop if its pushed tbh.
23. Borro Cassette- Maluma
Yes Maluma YAS! Atrl's new it boy(the girls are thirstying over him and with a reason. But Maluma is not only sexy he's also really talented. This song has been one of my favorites this year since the moment I heard it and ughh he sounds so damn sexy on the song.
22. Roses- The Chainsmokers ft. Rozes
The #selfie hitmakers are here to prove you they're more than just meme songs and this song here proves it. Finally becoming a legit hit after beein on the verge for many months its currenty #8 on iTunes.
21. Magnets- Disclosure ft. Lorde
Elegant, sexy, mature and badass! Not what I expected from Lorde(not saying her music wasn't good) but I did not see this slayage coming. Sadly their labels haven't pushed this and hopefully she serves more of this in L2.
20. Bitch Better Have My Money- ANTi Top Model
This year was so disappointing and that's because of the top model turned singer's delayed R8. She spend most of her year vacationing in the caribbean, partying, smoking etc etc and trolling her fans all year long. Anyways she did release some singles and out of those this was the best one IMO. Full of attittude and swag(I hate that word this is classic Rihanna...now bitch where's R8?
19. Five More Hours- Deorro x Chris Brown
When I first heard this song I was at this club, drunk af but it was just an instrumental I remember thinking OMFG this damn beat! I wish someone would put some vocals on this I kept getting my life to it at the club until months later this pops up Chris ****ing Brown was featured on it Sadly it flopped, it went for adds on pop but no one paid attention to it. Listen to it tho its such a jam if youre in the mood to party.
18. Trap Queen- Fetty Wap
1738 ayeee!! Seriously who doesn't like this song I remember hearing this and fell in love with it the first time I heard. Its just so ridiculous but so good at the same time... he's baking pies and getting fly @ the mall with his boo can't get better than that
17. Used To Love You- Gwen Stefani
YAS Gwen! She finally had the balls to release something else after her big flops last year and I'm glad she did. This feel so natural, so organic, so effortless, so GWEN. I can feel the emotions she felt/feels when she sings the song the only tragique thing is that video such a great such, such a ****** video. Hopefully they'll release her album sooner than later.
15. Sax- Fleur East
Ugh, I've been a fan of this girl since I saw her on The X Factor UK I know she'd be a star and she kinda made me like Uptown FUnk for a bit when she performed it. It is weird I hate Uptown Funk and love this song that sounds almost identical? The attitude, the hunger....I love it it she looks amazing and sounds amazing its already a big hit in the UK and I hope they don't waste I think it can be a hit in the states if they decide to push it.
So here you go gwerls I will post the next 10 in the new few days.
#14. Where ya at- Future ft. Drake
I love how Future's mumbles sound on this song..Im not his biggest fan and most of the times his mumble rap and scooby doo vocals annoy me but even if he annoys me sometimes...he knows how to make bops that go hard. Drake obviously slayed like he always do. Where were you??? And both look in the video.
#13. Ginza- J Balvin
MAluma HEW?? I know Maluma is the one that got Atrl's attention for obvious reasons but J makes better music and looks good as well. This song was everywhere in the Latin community and ugh when they play it at the club YASS!!! waiting for him to try to crossover tbh.
10. Planez- Jeremih ft J Cole
I'm probably one of the few that included this as their fave songs but ugh this song slayed me since the first time I heard it. Its sad how Def Jam has been managing Jeremih's career this follow up to his smash hit Dont tell em didnt have a video You need a ***** that's gon put it in yo mouf, dick so big is like a foot is yo mouf ugh J. Cole's verse just turn me on so much
9. Talking Body- Tove Lo
.
Can TOve Lo do any wrong? I guess yea since she release Time Bomb but ugh this girl makes perfect pop music. TB is such a great pop song and radio couldn't get enough of it.... I was afraid she'd stay a 1 hit wonder or a 1.5 hit wonder but she didn't let's hope the good sis keeps blessing us with ha music in 2016.
8. All my friends- Snakeships ft Tinashe and chance the rapper
Omg that chorus!!! Perfection!! It makes me feel like I'm 16 again sneaking into clubs trynna be cool
And my friends illegally drinking while my older friends buy drinks for us. This is like an upgraded we are young 2015 that chorus it's so anthemic and so relatable it'll be a shame if it ends up being another flop for tinashe. Chance did great too rooting for both since a while ago. At least the uk and Australia are stanning for this smash.
7. Love me like you do- Ellie Goulding
This is a perfect pop song, heavely chorus, amazing verses. Max and Ellie did a great job with this song. I'm kinda disappointed with her album I guess this set the bar too high for me but ugh.. At least they gave us this masterpiece. I dunno how many times I've played this this year but everytime I do I still feel the same thing I felt the first time I played it.
6. Hotline bling- Drake
Ay champagne papi what's a top 10 without Drake? I think this was really his year not the weekends, not
Justin's it was drakes imo. He kept smashing effortlessly all year long without even trying. Hit after hit after hit. I remember hearing this song and memorizing the lyrics after the secant time I heard it I knew the chorus. Such a great song and it the video who hasn't seen that video? The song is not what you expect to hear at the club but have you heard this at the club? Everyone goes nuts that's when you know people are here for a song. King drake can't do no
Wrong in my eyes.
4. Hands to mygod- Selena Gomez
OMG! I HATED THIS the first time I heard it I thought it was ****! It was so ****ing overhyped I expected a club banger like this was NOT what I expected at all. 2 months later, I'm glad it wasn;t what I thought it'd be. The whispering chanteuse slayed this and ha whispery vocals sound amazing. I mean I could but why would I want to? Barely a single and its this high on my year end that tells you how much I ****ing love this. Selena really, really has found her niche and what works best for her.
3. Sorry- Justin Bieber
Oh gawd never in my wildest dreams I'd be so open to admit I love JB's music. I always lowkeys liked his music because honestly it wasn't bad(since Boyfriend or whatever that album was). Journals was really good too but I stil disliked him too much to admit I liked his music. i still don't like HIM but omg his music is so damn good now! I liked WAUN I was like ahh this is a Jack U song, then he released WDYM and just when i thought he couldnt slay me more he released this song. The damn topical EDM is just perfect for him.... Everyone knows this song by now and everyones likes it, Justin really did a great job with his music. Not a big fan of LY but looking forward to more JB music in 2016.
2. Cool for the summer- Demi Lovato
Try hard!! forced!! fake!! she's not sexy!!! cringe!!! whale!! wannabe!! You know ****ing what she might be, she might not and if she is forced, fake, cringe, wannabe all of that **** never sounded so ****ing good and if she'll sound like this if she's all that I hope she ****ing is all that forever!!! I always knew Demi had it in her, I've been following her since 2008 never been a real big fan until CFTS. I have always liked her and supported her but THIS is what I've been waiting for. Say what you want about Demi, like her or not you cannot deny this song ****ing slays lives and its such a perfect pop song. Her vocals, the attitude, the piano, the guitars!!! Holy **** I remember I was so ****ing slayed when I first heard it and you know what? I still am! One of the finest pop moments in 2015 this is my personal top 40 but this songwas deff one of the best pop songs.
Taste my cherry Demi, bite me bish!!! Take me down! Only thing I have to say is that ...this bish and her luck peaking @ #11 Ugh anyways well done Demi.
1. Run away with me- Carly Rae Jepsen
This song, this ****ing song. OMG if this is not a perfect pop song idk what is it then... its pure pop, no gimmicks, no beat drops just simple pure pop at its best. This song makes me feel like I'm in love, makes me feels loved even tho I'm single Its just perfect...its really sad this flopped the way it flopped. I kinda wish someone else would've recorded it and make it a hit because its one of those songs I wish everyone knew but at the same time I doubt it'd be as good as Carly's it was perfect for her. Sadly it seems like they spent all her era budget on I really like you smh because this classic(in my iTunes) got a ****** ass basic video Last time I heard a song that made me feel like this was Katy's Teenage Dream which I consider a perfect pop song as well. Well done Carly I have NEVER liked anything by her but this song blew me away I regret all the times I shaded you queen. The GP is trash for not giving it a chance.
I came in here because I knew you had good taste and I wasn't disappointed.
I like to love pretty much everything here. If I wasn't on mobile, I'd listen to Maluma finally, so I bookmarked and will come back.
I love that you have my main favorites Drake and Sam Hunt and also love Antidote, Magnets, Yoga, Party Favors and Classic Man
Well thank you Bloomer sis
I recently got into Sam I had been seeing his name for a while but I refused to check him out cuz he was country. BUIAST can be a pop hit lets hope they push it. I heard he performed a rockish version somewhere.
Never been a big fan of Adelen but I love Hello!
Classic Man Never Forget You is such an underrated bop
Love Myself is good! Love the lyrics! Magnets
And my fave from this set is Roses! So glad that song is a hit now
Its sounds so mysterious even YT sounds good on the track the good sis Tinashe makes another appereance.

I've always liked Adele but Hello slayed my soul! I know hopefully NFY becomes a hit somehow it already did well in the UK.
Hello, Classic Man, You Know You Like It, Antidote, Party Favors, Good For You, Never Forget You (STAN FOR THE QUEEN!), Love Myself, Roses, Magnets... I just love your taste!
