Will Taylor become an undeniable legend if Red wins AOTY?
True pop music fans know well The Lord is currently the biggest star in the world, the most acclaimed and successful, yet she's being extremely underrated and overshadowed on ATRL, which, of course, ain't that big thing people would care about. The Lord won her first Grammy Album of the Year award with Flawless album and now she's nominated for another AOTY, the most important award in music industry. If Red gives her the second AOTY victory, will The Lord become and official and undeniable (even by ATRL users) LEGEND?

T-Swift is extremely talented and successful, but I feel like she's still so young and there's so much more she can do with her music, categorizing her as a legend kind of stints that growth imo, if people constantly call her a country legend, then she would be less likely to come out with albums like Red and songs like IKYWT

Shes a cult leader, no sense in down-grading to the "Legend" status.

Taylor hasn't done enough to be considered a legend...If she can continue the way she is now for say 5 more years then I really think she could become one. But you don't become a legend for being successful for half a decade.

Anyone denying her status, success, impact and industry respect is delusional.
I'm not surprised though, this is ATRL, people here aren't that taken in by beautiful songwriting and stripped back instrumentation. She will be renowned for years to come for her ludicrously effortless crossover from country to mainstream music, she sells consistently well, tours the world and more often than not sells out wherever she goes. She is the most respected young artist (by critics) to come out in a long time (not including Lorde cause she has to prove she can do it again) and she obviously isn't slowing down any time soon.

As much as I love her, I don't think we can officially call her a legend yet. She's still so young and I'm pretty sure she's going to continually do GREAT numbers, and by 5 years, I think everyone will finally start calling her a legend.

+1.
I'd also like to add that it's unfair to call her the biggest star in the world because she has a few contemporaries that could also be called the biggest star in the world. She is one of, but especially now, it's unfair to call her the only one, especially when she doesn't really have a single out that's doing anything. She's working on a new album. You have people like Beyoncé who have a hugely successful album out right now and a new single (two, actually). She could also be called the biggest star. Taylor is one of the biggest stars out there, though, and I think that if she were to win Album of the Year, she'd be a little more respected. She has so much more to give, though. We shouldn't call her a legend yet, even if she's on her way to becoming one.

Her first release was in 2006. That's almost 8 years.

Only Adele can compete w/ ha as far as the music is concerned. Beyonce is just being heavily promoted.

Maybe it's her age, or her musical content, or her persona, but there is something about Taylor Swift that doesn't say "legend" to me. Regardless if she has 2 AOTY awards or not.

I would agree with that too, I feel like Beyoncé's success and popularity right now is due more to the fact that her album was released differently than others. The music is good, but it's not as good as her other albums. Beyoncé is huge and would have success anyways, but the quality of her newest album, in my opinion, isn't on the level of Taylor's and Adele's. It's good, just not my favorite.
