Murder at the Grammys: killer STRIKES again
MURDER AT THE GRAMMYS:
A body was discovered at last night's Grammy Awards ceremony, stowed away inside a dumpster behind the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. One Direction star and controversial queen Louis Tomlinson called the police around 9 o'clock last night to report what appeared to be a dead body. Tomlinson found the body following a heated argument with his dear boytoy Vespertine over a recent video, when he stepped outside to collect his thoughts and noticed a suspicious odor.
The rest of the ceremony was cancelled as the officers on site began their investigation. A description of the body or scene have yet to be released, although the police have confirmed that they suspect foul play. They were also able to confirm that the victim did not die on the night of the Grammys, but rather was killed somewhere else and disposed of behind the Staples Center several days later. The investigating officers have also narrowed down a list of possible victims and suspects, and are asking anyone with more information to please step forward.
Welcome to Vespertine's first ever murder mystery event
Rules & Guidelines
- Every week, each player will be PMed a list of unique clues by Vespertine. These clues can range from totally helpful facts to red herrings to complete lies. It's up to the players to decide which clues are the most important, based on their own sense of logic and their knowledge of the celebrities involved. For example, if you receive a clue along the lines of "Lady Gaga told you she received an e-mail from Madonna's team confirming that she is the killer," you might want to assume that clue is a lie based on Gaga's history and trustworthiness.
- Halfway through the week, each player must turn in a specified number of clues to PUBLICLY reveal to all the other players. The best players will be able to deduce which clues are the most important (and should be kept a secret), and which clues are the most useless or misleading (so as to not help the other players too much).
- Based on the clues that have been revealed, the players will then be required to turn in their current guesses on the week's topic (victim identity, murder weapon, murder location, the killer, and the motive), along with an explanation of how they came to this conclusion. Players will then be scored based on the accuracy of their choice and the logic behind it.
- Players will also be required to turn in a musical selection based on the week's theme, with points awarded based on relevance to the topic and creativity in choice. This will be a small portion of the scoring, but could help people out still.
- The killer, while not wanting to be caught, also enjoys seeing ATRL members attempt to catch them... so each week, the player(s) with the worst scores will be killed off. Other plot developments may also occur.
- The clues you choose to withhold each week are yours to keep (unless you die), and you can do whatever you want with them. Players are free to form secret alliances and pool their clues in an attempt to take out other players, though they could also feed fake information to all the other players, etc. It's really up to you how deviously you play.
