Lana hated the remix. It took away the whole meaning of the song. She never wanted it to be a single in the US, hence why it was originally only made a single in Germany.

However

Interscope wanted to cash in.

The remix made Lana sound like everything she's not. A generic basic mess. The only think I'm happy about is that it attracted a new audience for Lana and a lot of people went to check out the original version, and agreed that the original version is a lot better than the remix. So I am grateful for that tbh. But I do wish Cedric never touches a Lana song ever again.
