To clarify, I am not talking about when the artist is doing the dance with them, or at-least partly doing the dance, I'm talking about totally isolated dance scenes where the artist is no where to be seen.
This is typically done to add a little excitement to an upbeat song, so they sprinkle in some cuts to a dance duo or small group of dancers doing a routine. The pop gurl is usually then cut back to during the scenes to show ha singing her heart out, staring into the camera, not participating at all.
Why I personally find it boring is more times than not it is done in infamous "photoshoot" music videos, where the artist is basically just singing at a generic photoshoot, and the video almost always has no plot or anything special, it was just a quick 1 day shoot to make a cute video to push a song.
Have any of y'all noticed this as well?
