not Born To Die being in the top 10. slay a bit. I didnt realize some of these songs/albums were "rock," tho.

Surprised that Do I Wanna Know isn't on the best selling Rock songs tbh, it had great longevity for its peak there (#71, right ?).

All these acts are crossover Alternative Rock bands.
They are not Hard Rock but they are still considered Rock.
And those doubting Lana, the only stations playing her songs are Alternative and AAA.

How is "Born To Die" rock but not "Ultraviolence"?

It's a great song, one of the best that was released last year but besides the release week, it peaked at 99 on iTunes.
It's an airplay hit, just like Fever by The Black Keys.

Lest we not forget that "A Sky Full Of Stars" hit #1 on their "Hot Rock Songs" chart. It does have some instruments, but it's much more electronic-infused. Such a mess.
