Iggy Azalea working with Steve Aoki & Diplo on debut album
She basically confirms here that Steve Aoki & Diplo will be producing and Tyga & Rita Ora are also some of the features for "The New Classic".
What she says about T.I. & Grand Hustle also makes me wonder if she might leave soon since they're no use for her other than exposure & features and maybe finally get that major deal for the album distribution... or not.
Even though I'm not particularly fond of her music, and I'm definitely team Azealia Banks I still wish her the best of luck, and there's no denying that she is very beautiful.
Her track with Katy B was ****ing phenomenal, and i believe she has a brighter future ahead of her
than Banks. I'd like her to work more with singers like Jessie Ware and Katy B, her voice is great.
I'm excited for this
I HATED the Beat Down track she did with Steve hopefully this next one turns out way better. I'm confused on her direction and it sounds like a messy album already.
And what was her original plan of even getting with T.I.?? She should think things thru more. Though with her AND Azealia's rate of sampling things idk if Iggy will run into the same Esta Noche/BBD problems.
Yepp I was listening to Trapgold... it's really good. I didn't know she has other mixtapes out
Yes, 3. Most people say they like her first one "Ignorant Art" the most.
The second, the "Glory" EP is more classic hip-hop oriented, urban/rhythmic radio-type of tracks.

seems pretty clear to me electronic/hip-hop, following the Ignorant Art/Trapgold/Beat Down path
Being on Grand Hustle gave Iggy a big advantage on the hip-hop community already, that's why most of them even know about her & how she got to be in places like the BET Hip Hop Awards cypher/VH1 Divas, and get in touch with most of the producers/artists she has so far... she's been introduced and is now trying to establish herself in the game because she is in a "crew" which also gives a rapper some sort of credit & exposure (even if she was already doing that well on her own before and like she says she still does stuff the way she wants to so basically she goes for them for support & opinions, since they've been in the business for a long time, so it's like a "family", etc).
And Iggy knows better, she's already had some issues with that sort of stuff earlier when "Glory" was supposed to be an actual EP released through Interscope so she's always extra careful now (you get in huge trouble specially when you're an independent artist so I guess that eventually turns into an advantage b/c of experience):
