Your point would've been successful if she had released the single in spring and the album in summer.

I get the feeling that Beyonce doesn't want anyone to know when she is releasing it, and that she'll just announce it a few weeks before. I think the longer that is waited, so long as the music is good, the more the anticipation grows. I don't think that people generally say, "I can't wait for _____'s new album!" and then even if it comes out a year later they suddenly have no desire or curiosity about it. Look at JT's success. He opened with MASSIVE numbers mostly because of the long wait. Because Beyonce's album hasn't come out yet and not at times when everyone expected (after Superbowl, in the spring, in the summer, in the fall) it feels like a lot more time has passed than 9 months.

The GP doesn't care about anticipation? Are you suggesting that they don't buy something if they are really looking forward to it coming out? I'm not really sure what that means because the GP isn't one person. Anticipation would vary depending on each individual's personal tastes.
