XTINA: ARTPOP Has Christina Aguilera already done Lady Gaga's "ARTPOP" era?
"ARTPOP" is the upcoming release from Lady Gaga, said to be inspired by 60's art
and Warhol, with Gaga even referencing his work. However, Christina Aguilera
achieved Warholian imagery with the release of both "Bionic" and "Keeps
Gettin' Better (A Decade Of Hits)," as well as using imagery from other
well-known artists from the 1960's, such as Roy Lichtenstein.
During Aguilera's conjoining eras, everything from packaging to
album art to promotional campaign was strongly influenced by 60's POPART.
Thus, one couldn't help but wonder: Has Christina Aguilera already achieved "ARTPOP?"
Is Lady Gaga perhaps inspired by Christina Aguilera's throwback pop art concepts?
Could Lady Gaga possibly receive backlash with comparisons to the imagery
Christina Aguilera presented during both the "Bionic" and "Keeps Gettin'
Better (A Decade Of Hits)" releases? Weigh in with your opinions.
Legend X's been there, and done that with everything. Stefani's inspired, loves, and stans for the legendary artist so similarities will always be there.
Such a nice looking OP, too bad you wasted your time on it only for this thread to be closed.
I have faith that the moderators are smart enough to recognize that this thread is
created for discussion and that just because one member doesn't agree
with the discussion, doesn't justify the closing of the thread.
