Elevating "marriage" to a level of divinity of some sort is so stupid though, so that leaves this argument moot anyway. It must be such a holy union and sacred bond before your Lord, obviously. What's the divorce rates right now in percent?

Yes, heard this one before. But then what about straight couples who even going into marriage say they won't ever have kids? Or people struggling with fertility issues? I guess they should be denied marriage, but somehow that's not a thing.
