I should be studying for exams right now so this is great procrastination, plus I'm technologically inept so I apologize for the lack of graphics, it'll be a bare minimum YouTube link + thoughts thing
I didn't really use western music this year so my lists will be completely kpop but my favourite English album + songs were from the masterpiece Dangerous Woman
I'll be posting my Top 15 Songs and Top 6 Albums periodically. I was thinking of keeping it to just singles but there were a few album tracks I really loved, and there's 6 albums because that's how many I liked in full
This is technically my AOTY, the one I couldn't stop listening to all year, but since it was released in December 2015 I'm including it here. Can't believe it's nearly time for their next winter album already!
Every song I love so much and played like 400 times, the album really cemented me as an EXO stan.
At first it was: Unfair > Girl x Friend > On The Snow > Sing For You
then over the year it turned around: Sing For You > On The Snow > Girl x Friend > Unfair
I really don't like the way YG handles their acts, but the chorus on this is just so nice and catchy. A shame we're probably not getting X, I or T
#14 Rainbow - Whoo
Q1 in KPOP was really boring for me this year, I'm glad they released this bop #thankyouRainbow
#13 - Tiffany - What Do I Do (English Version)
This is my favourite song off Tiffany's surprisingly good debut album along with Talk. Yours Truly is one of my favourite albums so I'm glad to see its sound live on. Here's to The Emancipation of Tiffany in 2017.
This was the first album I used this year and it's fun with a really nice ballad and major bops. I don't listen to it much now but it's a really solid release like Innocent last year. DSP ruins everything tbh.
What Do I Do is soooo good. Definitely my favourite song other than IJWD from her. I love that sort of 90s/early 00s inspired sound it has. Sentimental is really cute too. I was never a fan of WINNER/IKON but I actually really liked Sentimental, its just very low-key and catchy. YG can suffer
I haven't heard this Rainbow album but i'll check it out!

Tiffany really did that
Same! I really didn't think I would like WINNER's comeback but I got hooked on the song. And agreed, YG can be in shambles after Big Bang enlists
Oooh definitely tell me what you think about the album after!
From the verses to the chorus, the production and vocals on this are perfect. This is my favourite of the many EDM singles from SM this year. It's also better than 4Walls tbh. Galaxy off the mini is also really good
#11 SISTAR - One More Day
The instrumental on this is amazing and with Hyorin's godly vocals on top
They really should've made this their first official WINTAR comeback, what a waste
Before I move on I felt like doing something random:
(Dis)Honorable Mentions
BOP OF THE DAY
Don't know why it took me so long to get into this BOP, but it's pretty much the Miniskirt of 2016: a little trashy, a little reductive and A LOT of fun Brave Sound does it again!
BANDWAGON OF THE YEAR
Sure they're all very pretty and Whistle is a bop but really ATRL? They + their music are NOTHING special and haven't passed the original 2NE1 yet.
WORST OF THE YEAR
I don't care about how pretty the members are or how well they sing (or don't). The thing for me is that they've only released one good song: Like Ooh Ahh from last year, and that's #notmyNationsGG
Now that I've gotten these off my chest, it'll be back to:
