Frank has topped countless year end lists, received many Grammy nominations, received a lot of critic acclaim and got a lot of press due to him coming out.... yet none of that translated onto sales? While other artists who debuted this year got none of that, yet their sales dwarf his.

Frank's album has yet to cross go platinum and is nowhere to be found on most relevant charts. Now the acclaim is nice and all, but acclaim wont pay the bills. So why do you think the album did so bad compared to all the press and acclaim? The album has got low sales and no hits. Discuss because I am intrigued.

1) It's R&B. We all can testify to the fact that it is one of the most non-active genres on the charts at the moment.
2) Him coming out hurt him more than helped. Believe it or not, many people probably refused to buy his album even though they liked it simply because they are homophobic and can't accept that he had feelings for a man at some point.

Considering the state of R&B his sales are decent. And his sales can pay his bills and yours. You tried it though.
