I know what you mean. I mean kudos on them for being fearless enough, but it's awkward and unnecessary in some contexts. Filmed public coming outs are kind of the pits imo.

They really did, I think he expected it to be a big moment. Everyone's just talking in the background and they don't react when he reveals he's gay. They cheer at the end but it is a bit awkward

I feel like the LGBT community is what makes being gay so taboo because that's the way

I personally know a guy who entered a talent show in his school, sang Make You Feel My Love by Adele and dedicated it to his boyfriend, coming out to everyone. All the audience cried and he won. Couldn't be any more attention seeking if you ask

A lot of people? I'm sure it's no secret that other people make a big deal out of it than the actual gay person. As for the rest of your post, that could apply to any minority, especially ones who fought for acceptance.

we deserve acceptance for who we are. no one knew about his sexuality probably because he never did anything to out himself or denied it consistently... he felt the need to come out to his class and it doesn't matter why.

and it's not our fault it's taboo. it's something we have to do because this world is so ****ed up.
