This happened at an Apple Store in Melbourne, Australia.
Video in the link.
Quote:
In the 20-second clip, three boys are confronted by security guards and a store employee. “Do you know what’s happening right now?” he says. “These guys are just worried about your presence in our store.”
The confrontation is met with confusion by the boys, who ask what the issue is. “They’re worried you might steal something,” says the man.
“Why would we steal something?” asks one of the boys.
“Guys, guys, end of discussion. I need to ask you to leave the store.”
Wow..... i feel like i cant go into those stores anymore. Like wtf, that's so ****ed up. Ugh, i hate **** like this so much. The fact its 2015 this still happens
Apple needs to take a public stand and send the teens turned away some free gear (and maybe even shout out Mizzou). They've got the power to end these shitbag "security" officers and show the rest of the world that racism won't be tolerated by one of the biggest companies of all-time.
They'll be fired tomorrow/today so issue resolved. Would have been easier to restrict them because they're students. He made a critical mistake by racially profiling them as suspected thieves. Back to the unemployment line he goes I'm afraid.
6 words is all it took to ruin this man's career for the rest of his life.
