Welcome to my second 'Best Of' countdown on ATRL! Over the next couple of days I will be sharing my top 50 singles and top 10 albums of 2015 here with you! Forgive me for the simplistic design but I'm not into heavily edited banners and stuff (and obviously suck at editing). It was inspired mainly by Rihanna's artworks this year which used the braille as their main font as well as the colour red, as inspired by Monica's album Code Red which stands for the revival of RnB music today. I guess I just gave you a little idea as to what you can find on my charts this year. You can also share your countdowns here and I'll make sure to check them out! Although this was the worst song and single from the Rebel Heart era and probably of her career, I would occasionally find myself bopping to it.
I'm not really a fan of these girls and I actually find them quite annoying but I guess I jumped on the Worth It train just like everybody else this summer. Kid Ink's second verse on the song was completely useless and why the heck didn't Lauren get her solo part?
Til It Happens to You is an extremely emotional and beautifully made song. However, Gaga's ballads are just not my cup of tea. Credits to Diane Warren and Gaga for the amazing lyrics and prodcution on this one.
I'm still wondering why they pushed this one as a single. I know the British musical climate called for it this year but the moment I heard the song I knew it was going to flop as it's trying to be something epic but it doesn't actually go anywhere lyric or production wise.
Not a huge fan of Drake and I never really paid attention to this song until three days ago when I was compiling my countdown. As annoying as the vines were, the song is actually quite good and I feel like I would've enjoyed it more had it not blown up the way it did.
Leona's best album to date! I love how the entire album is one empowering work of art without any sort of love songs on it. I also love the album because it was released the day I moved to England and therefore the first album I listened to when I arrived. Highlights include Thunder, The Essence of Me and Another Love Song.
