48% of Apple Music trial users have already jumped ship

People are giving up on Apple Music, survey says
Apple Music is having a problem retaining its users, according to a new survey. Forty-eight percent of Apple Music users have stopped using the service, while only 11 percent of iOS users have tried the streaming service so far, according to MusicWatch. The music research company conducted a survey of 5,000 US consumers about their usage and knowledge about the service.
When current Apple Music users were asked if they would subscribe to the service once the trial ends, 64 percent said they were very likely, a decent rate, but not a great one for a company that loves to tout its customer satisfaction rates during every earning's call.
Sixty-one percent of current Apple Music users have turned off auto-renewal option for the service as well, a fact that will likely upset the music labels, who are withholding judgement on the service until the trial period runs out in October. There are some bright spots for Apple — 28 percent of Spotify Premium subscribers are also using Apple Music, and only 77 percent of iOS users are aware of Apple Music, leaving plenty of room for growth. But if this survey makes anything clear, it's that Apple Music may be in for a rough patch when it's time for users to pay up.
Mess. I switched off auto-renewal as soon as I signed up for the trial. Spotify is waiting for me as soon as it ends. Yikes at the people who said this would destroy Spotify.
I still haven't used my free trial
I was using Spotify trial, now Im on my Tidal free trial. I'll join Apple Music in October
But yeah, I can see why people aren't staying, the interface is crap and the library is overwhelimg. I like Tidal and Spotify better so far.
It's really terrible. I was surprised at how much I hated it; I thought Apple would serve a solid streaming service, but instead it was an iPhone 4/Apple maps tea.
It's too messy. I quit using streaming altogether.
As far as Apple Music goes, I don't want to have my entire library re-written and labeled by Apple just to add some damn songs to it from Apple Music. As long as iCloud Music Library is a requirement, I won't pay for it.
And then the people who have done that have had their libraries ruined and sometimes songs downloaded from Apple Music disappear after awhile. Oh, and you can't sync Apple Music songs to non-iOS iPods. It's just not ready for primetime.
