Movie: Psychological Horror Films

Hi, ATRL. I'm here for the horror fans.
I'm doing a project on psychological horror films and I was wondering which is the best film to anaylse in terms of this? Which film would give me more to say?
Either:
1. American Psycho (2000)

2. Rosemary's Baby (1968)

3. Carrie (1976)

If you disagree with any of the options or you haven't watched 1 or 2, please tell me a film which is good for this. I will watch it and get back to you!
(not allowed to do any Hitchcock films sadly, so please don't mention any of his GODLY work!)

The Shining - Stanley Kubrick

And considering how methodical and what a perfectionist Kubrick is... there's a lot to analyze. I had to write a six page paper on it for a film class and I could have still written more

Of those three, I would watch Rosemary's Baby. The Omen (1976) would be good to watch as well.

I've only seen Carrie and some of Rosemary's Baby, so it kinda depends on what your prject is about. Carrie ties into more real life themes by far, but most of the horror isn't all that psychological (I'd actually classify it as supernatural) Rosemary's Baby is supernatural too, but messes with your mind a lot more. That said, it's hard to relate being pregnant with demon baby real life issues

I agree about the supernatural! I'd be more than happy to change that. Basically, I have to choose 3 movies and talk about them. They must all have similarities such as genre or the decade released, director etc

I settled on Carrie/Rosemary's because Carrie's mum clearly needs help and Carrie does too from her mum's religious ways...
Rosemary's Baby is about the antichrist and stuff

Have you seen the film? The whole thing is about torturing the victims, and audience, slowly. The two boys are psychos who are playing a game. Nothing more needs to be said about it qualifying as a psychological horror film. It's one of the most lauded of all time. Take a look at its wiki page (which I just did and I was confirmed correct), or google it with the term "psychological" and get back to me.
