Lady Gaga is obviously the biggest thing that happened to Pop since Britney.
In such a short amount of time,
she achieved huge commercial success (an extimated 100M Gaga's records have been sold in little more than three years)
and widespread critical acclaim, winning five Grammy Awards and being nominated for "Album Of The Year" three years in a row with all her three studio albums, while collaborating with a big number of music legends (Tony Benett, Cher, Elton John, Beyoncé, Brian May, Sting...),
she swept award shows (

Her critical and commercial success remained strong during her
Born This Way era, but, even if the album is the second best-seller of the year both in the US and WW and her
Marry The Night video can still get an impressive 12M views in 5 days, the general feeling is that Gaga's popularity is slowly but steadily declining, as some factors (decreasing video views, declining singles success, apparent loss of interest within the general public) seem to show, and her Pop dominance seems to be threated by other girls, like Rihanna and Katy.
Her antics and her supposed "tryin' hard", along with her less commercial sound and darker videos, have turned off a considerable part of the public; for many, she's just
a freak, a Devil worshipper, an Illuminati doll, a bitch who tries too hard, a copycat...; on the other hand, more people have started to realize her musical talent, her sincere and dedicated hard work, her genuinely kind behaviour towards her fans, and she has also succesfully started her activist role, defending LGBT and outcasts' rights (just yesterday, she had a meeting at the White House on these matters), she opened the
Born This Way Foundation and she recently received the Trevor Project Hero Award.
So, what do you think?
Is Lady Gaga still the biggest popstar in the world? If not, who stole her crown?
